If you’re anxious for a peek into the boating world and just can’t wait for the San Diego Boat Show in June, check out the Los Angeles Boat Show this February. The boat show is a great place to check out the latest and greatest in boating and can help you decide exactly what you’re looking for in a used boat in San Diego.
General Show Information
The Los Angeles Boat Show will be held at two convenient locations from February 19-22, 2015. Spectators can head to the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles, or check out boats in-water at Marina Del Rey. Hours vary by location and are listed on the boat show’s website. General admission is $12 for people 16 years of age and older, and children and active military are free.
Exhibitors
There will be a wide variety of exhibitors at the boat show including Progressive, Discover Boating, and Fred’s Shed. Other companies setting up displays include NMMA Certified and Uber.
Things to Do
Attendees can participate in workshops based on internationally recognized training and certification programs. The leaders of the workshops are USCG licensed captains and certified professional trainers. Boat enthusiasts can attend workshops in Advanced Docking Skills, Close Quarters Power Handling, and Open Water Boat Handling & Seamanship. There will also be extended 3-hour sessions called Powerboating Made Easy and Advanced Docking & Precisions Boat Control in Tight Spaces. Participants will be required to pay a registration fee for each session they attend, and free admission will be given to participants who register online for an extended workshop.
Boat show attendees can also try out a sailing simulator or stand-up paddle boarding, and there’s a Kid’s Zone to keep young boaters entertained.
